THE SKEPTICS KADDISH...W3 prompt # 209...Friday Writings # 225..POETS and STORYTELLERS UNITED

i want to return to that time
in my life and never leave

no tele no scammers
no computer no mobile
was happy then
less complicated
less frantic
people were nicer
gentler
more time for each other

you were a big part of it
ours was a
a kathleen ferrier world
and i threw it all away
in search of adventure
being cool in
a brave new world
bedazzled by reading  too many books
intent on becoming an interesting person
escaping from
what i learnt too late was
magnificent mundanity

  1. Mundanity is comfort, adventure upheaval. But in time we find both these intertwined.

  3. What is mundane to one is life to another. We often don't appreciate what is right in front of us.

  4. I agree. nothing wrong with mundanity. The more connected we are, seems the more separate and sad we become.

  9. Rall, I really like the line “magnificent mundanity” because it shows me how the simple life you left was actually very special.

  12. Mundanity can be a good thing, that we skip over while looking for something different and exciting.
