please give it a rest
you are a stone in my shoe
an irritation




this stone is my friend
it's more truthful than a lot
of theologians




found guilty by law
stoning is the punishment
we turn a blind eye

For The Weekend

It is Friday
The fog has lifted
The sky is bright blue

My favourite day
of the week
Feel like going
straight to the airport
getting on a plane taking off

Don't do things like that anymore
Will be going soon enough ..must book ticket
like normal people do

i awake to horns
not car horns, fog horns on the
harbour, i like it

it's Thursday morning
we are the leaders of time
and that's about it

it's thursday evening
i must prepare food

i would prefer to write

i will contemplate
the three positions of
predestination
while making the fish
and salad
before i go to theological
war with my religious nemesis
albert the convert

humourless
charmless devious
but encyclopaedic
in his knowledge of
ontology

maybe i'll watch a rerun
of bridget jones instead
and paint my toe nails

To remove you from my mind
darkens my joy

I have done everything  to make
my feelings known to you
apart from wearing a badge declaring
I love you

Friendship is just a liability
in circumstances such as these

I saw a giant prawn in the sky
Trying to avenge the sad meat pies
Paddle pops tim tams give me a high
