GIlbert and Sullivan Revisited
I can't believe I use to bag Gilbert and Sullivan when I was young. I have rediscovered this music and I must say I think it is such fun and a delight. I love 'Three Little Maids'. In fact the Mikado is such a hoot ....a sort of 19th century forerunner to the Village People. I dont think there are many of us left who have even heard of Gilbert and Sullivan . I have put some you tube videos on my blog of G & S but they morph into others which I have not selected and do not recognise. If any kind dinosaur out there can suggest how I can fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

I never use a big, big D. (Hardly ever.)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what a big D is.I just asked my husband and he said he's got one.
ReplyDeleteHi Rall,
ReplyDeleteI'm not even au fait with the way you've uploaded these videos! I do one at a time, nice and easy like. But it's YT's habit to link lots of similar videos, which may be what is causing yours to alter. When I do single videos, there's a check box that can be unticked so that no alternatives are offered. Maybe your version can do that too.
G&S are fun; clever lyrics and jaunty numbers. Mikado will always top the bill.
Did untick the box ...but no luck.Well, sumer is icumen in soon so suppose you are looking forward to that..time for me to go now and lhude sing cuccu .Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteDoes this help? http://sneakymommablogdesign.blogspot.com/2010/02/adding-video-to-posts.html
ReplyDeleteHello Rallentanda
ReplyDeleteI have just posted my semi-final wurdled entry as a comment on your post of 3rd. March.
These days, the kids think you mean Gilbert O'Sullivan . . . gone, and probably best forgotten.
Oh I don't know, Footesque.. 'Clare' is a sweet song!
ReplyDeleteMy weekly poem is based on song titles inspired by your little song message.
Thankyou Deborah.I'll try this out and let you know.
