10cc Dreadlock Holiday

Summer
A silk stream of water
from a hose moistens
pineapple plants
wilted in deep
baked dry pots
car horns honk
tempers zeroed
patience blown

  2. Hello Rall!

Concise as ever and very appropriate. It's lashing with rain here! Haven't heard 10cc in a long time!

  3. Woven tightly - great work! I liked the reggae that accompanied that dry, heat of summer. Just the recipe for waning patience.

  4. Rall, I love the title and 'silk stream of water.' This is one hot summer!

  5. This has an almost haikuishness to it in its spare, evocative, sensual presentation! Wonderful touch, pairing it with 10cc.

Particularly like "silk stream of water." I can see it, coming out of the hose, and feel its silkiness. Nice, rallentanda!

    BTW, love the new look!

  8. Wonderfully tight like the tempers in those cars, rising like the heat. Great use of words and spaces.

  12. Patience blown is absolutely right when the heats gone on way too long!

  13. I'm always short of heat, but recognize the feeling here from hearing others who are on hot overfill after two days of summer. Nicely rendered.
