Haiku Heights

DAY 29

Friendship

i gave up on it
but  i found it in you i
thank you for friendship

we are more than friends
we are more than everything
i am keeping you

when times are tres tough
i think of you and i know
you are on my side

i have never known
support like this before it
comes as quite a shock

it is autumn now
a  season to be happy
i found you at last

DAY 28

sometimes i get a
few moments of clarity
then it disappears

emotions confuse
hard to put thoughts together
with sharp clarity

the search must go on
for clarity and the truth
a journey of hope

clarity hits hard
the puzzle falls into place
we do not like it

DAY 27

temptation is scarce
when one is too discerning
the fall is harder

of such magnitude
the volcanic eruption
spews for days and days
-------------------------
sometimes temptation
is worth the consequences
passionfruit peach pie
-------------------------
i would go to hell
for you but God is so mean
he keeps you away
--------------------------
i love temptation
it challenges my bold strength
ha, non existent
--------------------------
weakness is divine
succumbing to it is great
and then you suffer

remorse and regret
set in and you wish and wish
you had not yielded

to its siren call
the sun ray has receded
it is deep dark black
----------------------------

wrestling that angel
is always so difficult
it's bigger than me
-----------------------------

  3. There is a lot of truth in this series of haiku. I especially like the image of wrestling the angel. No white gossamer wings on that angel, I suspect. I see the darker specter of a fallen angel.

  5. Wrestling with one's Guardian Angel is not recommended. They are persistent and on a 'Payment by Results' salary!

  8. Rallen,
Clarity - We seek clarity and demand clarity. But when it clears up we find it too testing. Familiar situation that I can relate to myself!

Temptation - Yes, not easy to counter temptation. One gets rounded eating too much for one, and many others as you have brilliantly shown.

  9. Day 28: Clarity is the proverbial double-edged sword: We long for it, but when we get it, we're not sure we want it after all!

  10. Day 28: Clarity is often elusive, and when found, not aways welcome. Well done.

Day 29: Frienship is a wonderful choice. Your haiku speaks of a friendship very worth protecting and honoring.

  13. Boy am I embarrassed about day 29. Turned out to be a complete mirage..wishful thinking searching for an oasis in the desert..I am a very poor judge of character, gullible trusting and easily fooled..Criiiiiiiiinge!
