Karma

                                          God is generous
God is just ,he does not want
                                          To penalize us

                                            I don't want to watch
I don't want to even know
                                            I don't care enough

  1. I agree I think God wants to gently teach us the right way so we can be better people he doesn't want to penalize us.

  2. Interesting and sharp poem....I'm thinking this means something about the heavy handiness that 'gods judgment' is banded about amongst his believers .... Personally - I would like to think Gid was forgiving, why would I want to watch people being punished...it think the same as you...maybe I'm just of apathetic ....really interesting...this kind of woke me up!

  3. I think waiting and watching and wanting to know is a punishment within yourself.

    Wonderful reasoning.

  4. Karma by Princess was a bit vindictive! But I agree with you they are not worth worrying about. There is no need to hold on to the pain when you can let it go.

  5. I really love where you're coming from in your poem. I have seen these sayings and they have struck me the same way, very unfirgiving, very unjust to God's loveingkindness. Thank you fir reminding us of this.

  6. I love this, and it is weirdly similar to my own work this week complete with the humor in the situation. You have to sit with both posts though for a little while before the similarities settle in.

In the longest run we all go to heaven or we don't. It's to our advantage to forgive because we can leave no one behind. In the mean time we may often do mean time.

  7. Ummm ... the last line is troubling.

Not caring enough to know what happens to someone who has caused us pain is not the same as forgiving them.

Forgiveness is the only real way to move on.

  8. Oh yeah sure Dodo... and it is such an easy thing to do and you talk of it so tritely. To forgive is 'Divine' because it is an unnatural response for humans and almost impossible to achieve.I doubt if it is achieved by anyone. It is one of the reasons we still have wars and will always have them.

There are other real ways to move on with the same effect. The jews call it sitting 'shiva' which is originally a mourning custom for someone who has died. The offending party is put into the realm of non existent. So the victim is not harbouring thoughts of revenge hate or any negative feelings whatsoever.
