labour dedication discipline
all needed to pack these notes
neatly into little semi quaver passages

scary being a dangled exhibit
in front of an audience
if it works out they applaud
if it doesn't they still do

  1. ha, yes they tell you what you want to hear...or what they think will make you feel good...if you want the truth you better ask for it...even then it is not a guarantee...when its a show...

  4. The worst thing in the world for a performer to hear........polite applause!

It's when they stop that you have to start to worry. And I don't think you'll ever reach that point, Rall.

  6. But there's a world of difference in the nature of the applause.

I don't understand the words, but what a nervous sounding song.

  8. I am pleased you enjoyed this Paige. Very few people seem to like classical music so it's always a nice surprise when someone comments on the music.

Also thankyou everyone else for your comments.

  9. Curiously with the many concerts I have been to I have considered that it is just me that the performers are playing to and applaud accordingly. There might be a crowd, but music is so personal that what others think makes little difference to my appreciation of it.

  10. Applause is deserved. Just getting on the stage is a big ask, though for the money involved people want some substance. The flip side is the push for standing applause where it is not warranted. It takes some resolve to remain seating.

    Lunch?

  11. Yes it does...once a few stand up the others follow thinking this must have been really good!

When they shrink the Hume highway from 600kms to 6:)

  12. That's the effect of canned laughter on TV & movies too.

    Good point.
