  2. Judgement passed! But it provoked a conscience that later generations have to live with! Nicely Rall!

  3. Same as it ever was, sadly.

I'm reminded of the Bufallo Springfield lyric: "...Step out of line, the man come and take you away..."

  5. What a nice haiku set you have written on such a sad event as the witches hanging.

  6. witch trial - they called it a trial, but it was a ridiculous disregard for anyone that was a bit 'odd', a non-conformist, a healer.....so many lives lost for nothing....I live near Salem Ma...another site of carnage....

  8. Sad day for women, indeed.
The name of Satan enough to condemn them.
So many witches are alive and so many innocent women have been killed.
    Good haiku!

  9. Must be strange to live near Salem Joanna. You could write a good poem about that. Yes,agree...as a non conformist I am surprised to still be around even in this day and age.

True Dulcina there is witch who has got me in her sights at the moment. It is awful being a witch magnet. I don't know how I do it:)

  10. If the name of a cat was enough to condemn you, then I think I'd be quick to change my cat's name!
