For The Weekend

i

just another sunday
swimming in the harbour

hours later
the salt still on my skin
i hose all the thirsty palms and nasturtiums
the sand still in my toes as I write this

he pours me a gin and tonic on ice
the light breeze plays in the treetops
i look across at the attics  and balconies
framed by jacarandas and the dying sun

i smile
i dream
that dinner will appear magically on a silver tray

  3. watching or to be in a good place relaxes our minds that sometimes we forget that we have other things to do - say, prepare dinner haha. thanks for this.

  4. He probably thought he made the extreme effort with the G & T. Even if he said come and get it that would surely do?

  6. Oh you lifted me right away from this gray drizzly cool November morning, into sunshine and sand, warmth and delight. I do hope dinner arrived for you.

  14. Rall, your video is everything one would do in the summer time or in the islands. Surfing, swimming, and suntanning (the seals on that little island...hehehe) i bet you're going to have a blast this upcoming Thanksgiving weekend!
