even though it's summer
we have occasional grey days
the looming sad thoughts return
this time every year
of those no longer with us
who made our joy at Christmas
God is impatient to have the special ones
with him too soon
if He takes you too
the sun will not shine
for me again

ReplyDeleteTwo of my close friends died within months of each other in 2012 . They were not old enough to be grandparents. Yesterday I received some bad news about my remaining close friend, who very bravely tried to tell me it was nothing to worry about.I am praying that he will outlive me. I don't want to be without a very close friend on this earth. We have know each other for most of our lives.
