she never did find you
only shadows of you
she gave up the search long ago
when she read the label properly

face reality
she is just not a bear person
love's a two way trip

this is part of it...blistering rows
peeling paint off the walls
mount vesuvius

some lovely moments
when things are going well
and the waters are calm

who knows what keeps
them together
i think they call it love
love can be found
in unlikely situations
even somewhat reluctantly
with a certain resignation
This is the first time I had to read between the illustrations to get the full impact of your love poem--and these photos are fine too. But your words! We never know what love is for those we see out there, while in here it might be the light between the shadows or the shadows themselves.
ReplyDelete...so before you have been just looking at pics and not reading in between...now just think of the pearls you have missed out on... LOL
DeleteLOVE this!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful. Love does take many forms, we see only snapshots sometimes. I think placing the photos between the words is so creative.
ReplyDeleteThanks Myrna. Glad you like the pics.
ReplyDeleteenjoyable lines (both words & pics) :)
ReplyDeleteYes, there are so many things one can say about love, and all the contradictions are true.
ReplyDeleteGreat lines. These might no be Hallmark, but a couple could work on someecards
ReplyDeleteHow quickly reality tumbles down...i love the last verse Rallentanda...maybe that's the most important place to accept?
ReplyDeleteWe search for it, it alludes us, we reach for the stars and sometimes just sometimes find it...
ReplyDeleteGreat words and images Rall
