Collage Of David Hockney by Rall
i remember creating this
on a grey lonely sunday afternoon
all those years ago
before the time of the internet
when visual art
was my mainstay sanity
i have been blessed with these gifts
that keep meds and white coats at bay
so thank you
again
and again
Yes, such gifts are blessings indeed. I like your collage.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rosemary. Was living near the Channon at the time when 'honesty boxes' were part of the rural landscape. LOL as I said it was a long time ago !
ReplyDeleteIs that the honesty boxes that landholders had to pay for fruit and other produce outside the driveways to their holding? They were still in existence a year or two back in the Adelaide hills. I must check to see if there are still some around.
DeleteWhen you had excess fruit or veg which you always do, you would put it out the front of your property on a stand at very cheap prices and trusted bypassers to take the right amount and put the money in a tin....cheap home grown food in exchange for a few bob....now they just take the money out of the boxes....so no one does it anymore...shame how things have turned out ! Maybe people are more honest in the Adelaide Hills...you have 40 degrees again tomorrow....poor bugga....hit the ocean:)
ReplyDeleteYes, beautiful collage, I love David Hockney!
ReplyDeleteYour work is stunning ! I would like to write a poem using your latest image at some stage.
