Fresh water and food the fish is happy and the gun means nothing. Much like global warming to the majority of the world's population.
Goldfish are born disengaged. Hopefully the safety catch isn't.

Put Fish in a large bath for a change. The change will do Fish good. Add a few toys and sea weed. Be careful when removing the plug, though.
