the pelting rain is back
the sky a polished silver metallic grey
reminds us it is still officially winter
the wattle has put on her yellow dress
too soon
she is decked out like a breath of spring
optimal presentation to prevent her limbs
blocking a driveway from being chopped
it almost worked
