rain
on the roof
the sky opens up
drowning out the tv sound
rain
filling the tanks up at last
the frogs will start soon
glorious
rain

we
are drawings
etched on a blank wall
are not real people at all
we
are enjoying each other

Both of these are beautiful. Curiously we missed out on that rain this winter however I made up for it by being a real person in my favorite Italian barista to flood myself with coffee.
ReplyDeleteFlooding yourself with coffee is not cool any more...you should hang out with a health nutter and you can drink seaweed juice laced with tibetan monk monastery dew drops
ReplyDeleteto keep your chakras in order:)
I esp like the first... both are great oddquains
ReplyDeleteBoth sets are really great .. I especially enjoyed what you wrote in relation to the line drawing ... Bastet
ReplyDeleteNice touch with the line drawings.. Strong oddquain.
ReplyDeleteSo different in tone, yet I can't pick a favourite – enjoyed both very much.
ReplyDeleteLove the sounds of the first poem... and the implications of the second are specially interesting.
ReplyDeleteThese were both excellent. I put them both together and I got this: they're both listening to the rain, entertained by the sound; however when its just the two of them, it's silent and inauthentic, like shadows. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteRain, I love the sound of it. Both poems are beautiful.
ReplyDeletemusic of the nature...............................
ReplyDeleteNice... I forgot about the oddquain. Addictive!
