looking forward to new year
hoping for the better
without violence no more fear
poison poems and letters
it's unlikely this will be
man is mainly cru - el
thanks for beauty and the sea
thanks to Him who rules

and when all is said and done
no escape from fate
futile thought to hide and run
time to square the slate
so enjoy life's happiness
filled with joy and wonder
there's no place for nastiness
think sunshine not thunder

I am no singer but I did sing along with this and surprisingly it went very well indeed (however there was no one else at home at the time).
