i've had a bad day
i've had a bad week
i've had a bad month
i've had a bad year
i need a blue sky break
if i don't get one soon
i'm not waiting for providence
i'm going to wrench apart
the dark clouds with my bare hands
steal as much blue sky as i can

Alex Almeny
i'll pack my house with it
pack my flat with it
pack my car with it
all my handbags too

i'll even pack my mind with it

Edward Hopper
i'll steal the blue from the sea as well
use it as a welcome mat

wrench apart
ReplyDeletethe dark clouds with my bare hands
steal as much blue ... sky and sea, nature provides such peace.
Love the images you have added. I like the underlying contrast of blue being used for positvity instead of conveying an emotional saddnes; using the sea for a welcome mind makes me feel of warm welcoming without horizons. Nice
ReplyDeleteIt really is a case of snatch and grab when skies are dark - wishing you much blueness
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long time coming. Thanks Jae!
DeleteLove it! My favourite of the day... So fresh and original...
ReplyDeleteAnd:

Is especially stellar... With Best Wishes Scott

I so know the feeling, LOL. Sometimes we have to insist on our blue sky fix, when the world is draped in grey.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an interesting poem, Rall. I love the paintings mixed in, and that pull of the blue.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, we need to steal a bit of that blue sky tuck it away for a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a lovely fantasy!
ReplyDeleteYou should do it, you know!
