boxed and marked
destined for the op shop
if they sing to me
make me sigh
spark wonder in me
give me hope
we become close
i fall in love with them
i sleep with all of them

ReplyDeleteI love the way the poem and the song reflect on each other. I used to keep them ALL, but I'm clearing out things now and am only keeping (1) those read more than once and (2) those I never read.
ReplyDeleteThe hardest part is making room for new books and loved books are best passed on for others to enjoy as I desperately need more shelf space!
