Heeding Haiku With Chevrefeuille MLMM
Midweek Motif  - Poets United

the world is laden
with too much suffering
its back is broken

we are like lemmings
racing in the direction
of the precipice

o for the touch
of an angel to quell the scorch
of satan in our souls
to drag us out of the mire
into the light

  4. Pure beauty. Oh! May you be heard, may we find the grace to heal the spine of the world. May I share this poem?

  5. Wow..intense piece, Rall. It dwells on the aches alright but does not make the world cripplingly devastating!

  9. That's a sentiment and a prayer I can echo! (Even if I would see 'satan' as metaphorical.) Heartfelt!

  11. I wonder: Will God ever tire of dragging people out of the mire?
