two neutron stars collide
billions of years ago
cosmic violence
produces planets with gold

when we deplete our resources
we will mine more from other planets
unless a giant meteorite zaps us
and showers us to smithereens
all the gold trinkets
wont seem important after all
Midweek Motif - Poets United
We do seem intent on destroying our own planet, leaving the meteorite with nothing to zap!
ReplyDeleteTrue enough - all that glistens is inside

ReplyDeleteExactly!
ReplyDeleteSure enough Rall, Happy Wednesday.

much love...
If we get smashed by a meteorite, we will become gold!
ReplyDeleteNope...we are a planet not a neutron star.
ReplyDeleteI love the message behind this.
ReplyDeleteAnother exactly!
ReplyDeleteAnna :o]
I sadly have to agree.
ReplyDeleteI love the last two lines...all the gold, the love, the power - none of it will matter. Excellent write. Toni spencer is ToniKanzen.
ReplyDeleteYes, all that glitter won't matter.
ReplyDeleteThis is excellent, Rall. You really nailed it!
