ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll ever make a mechanic, even a bush one, but I've got daydreamer and slob handled. (Though possibly not inventive genius.)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, we need more daydreamers, idlers, thinkers, who may seem to delve in things one may not deem helpful or needed but end up being the most important discoveries.

ReplyDeleteindeed .... what if? what if? which of course, poses that presumably unanswerable question - fate and/or destiny - and how much is "controllably" by our choices/decisions or whether, at some point, things, events, circumstances would eventually bring someone right to such similar places anyhow ....

ReplyDeleteGreat! I love the title which set me up to read this poem with a smile on my face. Among the myriad who dream, mess, fiddle with things and disobey, if one, three or 100 come up with such sparks, its worth the attempt to live with the rest. I've been guilty of nagging, but, that may actually be part of the magic happenstance!

ReplyDeleteMany parents worry about their kids daydreaming, they should read this and realise they may have produced a genius! There was an expression "Off with the fairies" perhaps that should be used as a compliment rather than a criticism. Excellent post Rall!
ReplyDeleteWhat if, indeed... The world would probably be a much less rich place, probably bursting with literal rot... if circumstances (and little care for organization) didn't put some of the best in the right place at the right time.
