a friend
has a family get together
every year

putting up his splendid christmas tree

inspired and not to be outdone
rall rushed out and bought
a tree as well
to celebrate the spirit of the season
in a small corner
of her cosy cluttered apartment
it's beginning
to look a lot like christmas
in miniature
Sounds lovely! The warm feelings in it made me smile. :-)
ReplyDeletewell, sparkles and glitters and lights ... it's all about lights ... to brighten the darkness of the season, to remind us, no matter which hemisphere we inhabit, that we should carry light in ourselves and let it shine ....
ReplyDeleteand if it brightens your space and place, warms your heart? then yes!
Sweet poem. I love the holidays, but they go by so fast and I think, oh, January...time for everyone to start acting like a regular jerk again--lol
ReplyDeleteMy tree gets smaller every year!
ReplyDeleteI don't even bother any more, Christmas cards on the sideboard do the works alone! I usually spend Christmas day with one of the children. Your little tree looks great...I might get one myself!
ReplyDeleteI like your tree!
ReplyDeleteErm , bit on the small size:)
DeleteSounds good to me. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it...
