the dingo dogs
sit together
teeth bared
pretending they are leaping tigers
watch for an opportunity
to strike the lone monk
meditating in the paddock
learned in the art of cowardice
they hunt in packs
only attack the unprotected
even babes in swaddling clothes

Sadly, I know some humans like those dingo
ReplyDeleteYes... sadly you do !
DeleteHey, how lovely to meet someone else who possesses and treasures 'White Dog'.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes to the poem. (I was one who always believed the dingo did it.)
...chilling (but they are sinisterly beautiful
ReplyDeleteCalling someone a dingo is a derogatory term here for a bully or coward. These animals never act alone. I agree that both the dingo and the human equivalent are chilling but the latter could never be described as beautiful, sinister maybe.
ReplyDeleteSadly,this is so real.
