FOR MY BLOGGER FRIENDS
WITH THANKS
GOD BLESS
TAKE CARE
feeling blue
feeling a 100 years old
chin up
things could be worse
you earn more than two dollars a week
you have a home
you can afford to buy the 50 year old cab driver an ice cream
(he never had one before)
you're sturdy and upright
here's lookin' at you kid
Clear-eyed poem. This cuts through the churn.
ReplyDeleteAh yes a special time a worrying time but also a time for compassion and charity
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday stay healthy. Thanks for dropping by my blog
Much❤love
Good friends are few, we value those we have....here's looking at you! Love this poem.
ReplyDeleteHere's looking at you! Be well and enjoy each moment if you can.
ReplyDeleteGoodness can be done and appreciated by all.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how dire the situation, there are two aspects--positive and negative-to every story. You've honed in on the best of the positive--taking time to count our blessings.
ReplyDeleteUplifting words we all need to hear Rall. Always love to see you at the Muse!
ReplyDeleteThings could always be worse...until they are no longer...
ReplyDeleteWise words and a bit of Bogey. What more can i ask?
ReplyDeleteYes, we must look to what we are grateful for at a time when it is easy to forget. And, amid all the things we can be grateful for, we are grateful for your kind thoughts and wise words. Thank you.
ReplyDelete“you're sturdy and upright”
ReplyDeleteThat is actually a huge blessing, if we take time to be grateful.
A worrisome time and a time of unexpected blessings..Stay well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a refreshing and positive offering for us! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLookin' right back at ya!
ReplyDeleteLove the positivity in this one, Rall
ReplyDeleteYes, things could be much worse indeed. I love that you bought an ice cream for the cabbie. You made his day!
ReplyDeleteKeeping the world in perspective and hope lives on. Yes indeed, things could be worse and I hope we don't see them.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rall, and here's looking at you! I admit to feeling blue and old over the past week or so but keep telling myself things could be worse.
ReplyDeleteWe will cope alright but the shock of losing so much so quickly was unexpected, with the "close this, close that" and churches and cafes closed as well was bad news indeed.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the positive message in your poem. Brava.
ReplyDeleteRight back atcha, Rall!
ReplyDeleteYour strength of character and generosity of spirit has always been clear in your words. It's what drew me to your flame in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI'm a better poet and person for being warmed by your glow. :)
This is by far the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Thank you for your kindness and friendship.
ReplyDeleteCount your blessing. Such a good reminder.
