A great piece about memories. Time goes so fast, but it's a wonderful thing to have lived; an opportunity to create lovely memories!
ReplyDeleteSandwich. Marvelous.
ReplyDeleteMemories are good but I still want more!
ReplyDeleteJust a hit of nostalgia--charming poem.
ReplyDeleteI think we are all startled to find ourselves old! Somehow I feel my body forgot to tell my head!
ReplyDeleteI just closed my eyes for a moment... and remembered dancing, just dancing (the night away). My old bones are full of longing (and disbelief, too). How can a body get so old when the spirit feels so young? I guess one out of two will have to do.
ReplyDeleteOh see that young Elton John. How quickly we get old and I know I loved that carefree time too. I am so with you.
ReplyDeletetime flies, but we get to keep the good stuff.
ReplyDeleteone of Elton John's song i will always remember is 'Goodbye'. Don't know why. perhaps it's the lyrics. still have that LP.
Evidently not as old as me, dearie! I danced to Bill Haley and the Comets, Buddy Holly, and Chubby Checker.
ReplyDeleteI'm still pretty young but can still relate to this. Good write!
