Poets And Story Tellers United

And a big opportunity for Piers Morgan to promote himself!
ReplyDeleteRepellent creature ...Piers not you:)
ReplyDeleteSo true.
DeleteCould we thankfully see the end of Piers Morgan -- an empty man filled only with himself?!?!?! Great poem.
ReplyDeleteLOL had to snicker at this one
ReplyDeleteYES more tea
Happy Wednesday Rall
Much💜love
The vicar might need more than tea to deal with this one.
ReplyDeleteLuckily – hopefully – I think we have seen the end of Piers! At least he's finally lost his platform.
ReplyDeleteA big yes to your poem, and I love the ending!
Definitely not the exclusive domain or royalty but their story is definitely compelling. Your write also made me think about all of the troubled royal relationships of the past... what different times we live in but still the same troubles remain.
ReplyDeleteRoyalty are no different from us. However as they are much in the public's eye every little flaw is magnified and news worthy. As for me I rarely get seen except perhaps in the birth, deaths and marriages column and only two of those so far.
ReplyDeleteVery true, this happens in many families, and the royal family have it all thrust in the public eye.
ReplyDeleteMy family is white as paste. One of my cousins married a black woman. One would think that it would be the oldsters who would be appalled, but my grandmother (RIP) simply said "it wasn't done in my day, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done." It was the younger relatives who were awful about it.
ReplyDeleteThe marriage didn't survive. In part because of my cousin's wife's depression after giving birth to conjoined twins who died a few hours after being born, but in greater part because of pressure and lack of support from family.
At my grandmother's funeral, I overheard my other cousins gossiping about my cousin's ex-wife, whom I'd met for the first time and who was trying her hardest to get along. It made me feel ashamed to be part of my family.
More families are like this than not.
DeleteOh I can hear the chatter all the way to Oregon! Great take on the troublesome relationship angle.
ReplyDeleteSad, but true!!!
