swimming
means getting wet
an umbrella
offers a little protection
against drenched ringlets
but not against sharks
they didn't want to know simple simon
so he got two owls instead
turned out well
one of the girls
a fancy pants
decided to play at
witchcraft
it worked
but no beginners luck here
she wrecked the wrong house
they are both now homeless
surprise surprise
they are seeing simple simon in a new light
endless possibilities
they cannot imagine how they overlooked
his attractiveness and in particular his generosity
You crack me up Rall aka Fancy Pants! This is so clever and you even tied them together. That first one made me choke on my coffee! LOL
ReplyDeleteI gotta remember that plan to use the umbrella against sharks. Not a bad idea, really. You can pop it open right as their jaws are about to come down. The shark is like "hey! WTF!" and goes crazy in circles trying to get it out while you swim away.
ReplyDeleteI...have questions. Love the way this hints at a tale of sharks and witchcraft and exceeding expectations. I'm imagining a historical epic of a family foundering on an unexpectedly unique child who nevertheless creates a marvelous and warm life elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the images!! Simple Simon my #1! Have a great week .. stay well, be happy.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Luv them all. The umbrella poem is my favourite
ReplyDeleteHave a good Sunday
Much love...
I enjoyed these, especially the owls.
ReplyDeleteI like your series. It tells a most intriguing tale.
ReplyDeleteGreat work here, Rall. Clever!
