TUMULT OF RAGE
no need to rub two sticks together
psycho raging zeus regularly starts bush fires
hurling bolts of lightning willy nilly
because he can
all the bush creatures block their ears and scurry to escape
most don't make it
meanwhile prometheus stays chained to the rock
waiting for the daily visit from the eagle
the violence and mayhem continues
Have lightning and thunder their fury forgotten...then open, O fathomless pit, all thy terrors ! Destroy them, o'erwhelm them, devour them, consume them with tumult of rage... St Matthew Passion.

I feel for the animals, both wild and domestic, so terrified and impacted by thunder and lightning. Pup used to tremble during storm. He remembered his puppyhood alone in the wilderness before I found him. He would come to me trembling and hide his face against my knees.
ReplyDeleteThe tumult of words and music suits these tumultuous times!
ReplyDeleteFull of raw anguish and turmoil. I love this piece.
ReplyDeleteI feel for the creatures that have no place to hide. I wish Zeus would stop all this chaos.
ReplyDeleteLighting has started brush fires since the beginning. Leave it to a pissed off dude to turn ecology into frenzy.
