Sunday Muse # 223

 poor milly wasn't together

wore her dark clothes back to front

never combed her hair

which served as a bird's nest

for an owl  she carried on her shoulder everywhere

until she discovered poetry

 transformation

milly had a columbia pictures logo moment

became sublimely happy

sorted out the hair and clothes

ditched the owl

who found a pussy cat friend

 together they took off

in a beautiful pea green boat

to the land where the bong trees grow

and milly

well milly spent her time writing poems

and swimming at the beach
