friday might
end of the working week
feet up
a drink with john coltrane
bliss
somehow
there's a spanish feeling
in my kitchen today
ole !
friday night
flowers
one of the things
that never fail
to bring me joy
the milky way
on a lonely road in south australia
no light pollution here
friday night bubble bath time
not quite the same in a sink
sydney rents... sky rocketed
outrageous prices unaffordable
a bathroom with a bath?
don't like your chances
cheap housing
three shipping containers
on a block of land in the bush
guaranteed bubble bath time
two ordinary looking blokes
enjoying a cold beer and a simple meal
at a roadside cafe
looks deceive
EARTHWEAL OPEN LINK WEEKEND # 160

The pleasures generated by good food, music and flowers intermingle interestingly here with life's daily deceptions.
ReplyDeleteDelightful snippets! I particularly agree with you re John Coltrane.
ReplyDeleteHa! I love the woman in the sink. It's what we called "sink baths" when my kids were little enough to fit. I had them when I was little too. Better on mom's back.
ReplyDeleteOrdinary blokes... yes, there's something real about down to earth sorts!
Oh I got all excited reading these poems. That milky way is stunning and the vegies and the flowers. Not so much the rent in Sydney It's everywhere the same though Here in NZ and in my home country Holland.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of your Friday nights. And LOVE the shipping container housing. I wish governments would allot areas for that type of more affordable housing, to try to ease the ridiculous rental situation. Greed has definitely gone global.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed every glimpse: the creative bath and home, the hint of Spanish in the kitchen, the structure of your poem. Just delightful.
