Letters sent home from a battlefield, must surely be the most difficult to read and to respond to. Conditions are beyond belief for those who took a few moments to think of those who were far away..very powerful topic..

Perhaps bullets would have been kinder than "dear John" letters in those moments. But they are survivable.
