TANKA TUESDAY ... POETRY CHALLENGE NO 28
W3 PROMPT # 175
words a failed attempt
to capture the sheer wonder
of your magnitude
spying behind my curtains
transfixed watching you rehearse
the trees remain still
the birds hush themselves in awe
entranced and outdone
you are oblivious to
your stunned secret audience
I've have some neighbors who teach various horn instruments... but sometimes they also practice for the Dinner Plays they preform for...
ReplyDeleteI image they do not know who listens... lovely tanka.
I love the thought of music so beautiful that even the birds are stunned.
ReplyDeleteNature, what loveliness she gifts us every day. Thanks for the lovely words of praise to nature.
ReplyDeleteLovely words, beautiful music.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of anything better than beautiful music played in a different room.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that birds are stunned by the music 🙌
ReplyDeleteRall, the way you describe nature pausing in awe feels magical—like I’m right there peeking out the curtains with you 🌙
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
David

It reminded me of a trip to Venice and we stayed in an apartment across from the music school and each morning we'd open the windows to listen to the music in awe...
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant pairing! I can see why all the creatures were so enthralled.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful take on the prompt 💜
ReplyDeleteWhat a magical gift, Rall. This is truly wonderful!
