HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Sunday Scribblings '1000 years'

In a thousand years
no-one will remember
this lovely young couple
no-one does now

In a thousand years
humans will be puzzled
at what these star struck
lovers are doing
Academics and scientists
will put forward a lot of theories
but it will remain a mystery
just like the sudden disappearance
of the dinosaurs

  1. Give us a break! We have all been kissing for much longer than thousand years now, why should we stop! (Not me that is, I am slowing down a bit now!)

  2. You don't know if they kissed a thousand years ago.Where is the visual evidence of kissing? They could have rubbed noses like the South Australians do:)

  3. I don't recognise the celebs even now so yes, they will certain fade with time - being a geek apparently kissing came from the transferring of food from mouth to mouth..way back when the dinasours would have picked it up if you dropped it..Jae ;)

  4. Perhaps we will just use our ipods since they have a lip app on them. Somehow I don't think it will give out the same reaction as the soft pressed kiss of a lover.

  5. Makes me wonder how often we misinterpret the past. We're not that great at interpreting the present!

  6. I'm not sure if I'd want a kiss to last a 1000 years. Well, maybe there's one person, but I'd have to take a break to nip to the loo every now and then.

  8. And pray do tell Madame. Who would that be I wonder? There is only one person I would consider for this kissathon event. Georges Correface.

  10. Ah, yes, in a thousand years so little of what we think is important today will matter! IF the earth exists at all!

  11. I am so pleased you remember Firelight.Life is so tenuous...a silly mistake,an impulsive decision, that's all it takes.

  12. If the earth exists at all it will be a miracle.

  15. I wish PSUEDO academics, and ALL scientists, would just go and take a running jump. The sooner we realise we know nothing at all - the better.

  16. That made me smile and the thought keeps repeating that we may be looked down upon as being very primitive :) Funny and lots of laughs!!
