Forgetfulness Of Things Past

3WW...breach ember tentative

and all the resolutions

all those resolutions came asunder
with your tentative reapproach
and sweet remorse

the breach of trust forgotten
the pile of ashes ignored

with the last
remaining
burning ember
about to ignite

yet again into
another raging fire storm

  1. whoo-ee! Lovely Ma'am

ps would you consider submitting a sapling for my spinney (hardly a plantation) at Sunday Trees? I would be most honoured if you have a tree-related poem to share.

  9. Forgiveness should go hand in hand with forgetfulness!! It is only then the dying embers can be re-kindled into a blaze!!
