3WW... jostle fragrant remnant
tinged with ultramarine and pink
finely stippled in azure and mauve
remnants of a garden bed
jostled amongst the moss green
of lettuce leaves and truffles
on a golden sevres dinner plate
these hinted rainbows
these evening blue shades
that precious quality
that I would recognise again
after dinner when i had retired
tinkling and transforming
my chamber pot into a vase
of fragrant aromatic perfume
You are erudite Rallentanda..you're writing distinctly you.. particularly turning your chamber pot into a vase..as ever made me :) Jae
ReplyDeleteTruffles sounds good! Love the bit about the chamber pot!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a way to glamorize it! I'm chuckling.
ReplyDeletehaha you know i dont know that i have ever read a poem on the smell of piss and how what you choose to eat affects it...
ReplyDeleteI laughed - this is so clever. Nicely done :-)
ReplyDeletevery humourous
ReplyDeleteAhahaha! I had to reread it after I saw other people's comments... I was like, what piss and humor? And then...ding! I got it! Hahaha! Clever!
ReplyDeleteHow we all need humour and you have treated us with some to day!
ReplyDeleteIt is not fragrant at all (au contraire) especially after eating asparagus. I needed to fit this word in somewhere.Apologies to Proust!
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all had a giggle.
I actually laughed out loud at this! Subtle and yet not so subtle, a fine balance.
ReplyDeleteI liked it and also loved haiku for day five.. Beautiful..
