Thrill Seeker

3 word wednesday...dependence,rumple, kept

Ride the Wave Babe
the mantra
rhythmically pounding
like bongo drums
in his head

he just kept going
kept arching forward
his hair rumpled
by the gale force wind
whistling through his ears
his heart in his mouth

that dependence on
the thrill
the thrill
the thrill
could kill

but blissing out
on the ride was
staying alive
staying alive
staying alive

  5. Each of us has that place of exhilaration. I loved the repeated mantras in this piece; "the thrill" then "staying alive".
