O what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive and when so expert we become we feel nothing when the fools succumb we bat our eyelids in gorgeous frocks we're sweet little naive goldilocks the serpent's venom pales in the shade compared to lethal encounter with one of these babes
3 WORD WEDNESDAY...tangle feel shade
DVERSE
This is not some fancy new format. For some reason or t'other I cannot break up the lines.
ReplyDeleteHelp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it worked though..all the words together...like a chant or a prayer..to ensnare what we seek..to summon up that irksome little demonic inside..jae
ReplyDeleteIf I had that little demonic irksome beast inside of me I would throw myself in the river which is what I am going to do with this computer very shortly:)I loathe the Lilths of this world.
ReplyDeleteHate when that happens! Naughty formatting, but on the other hand I liked the words running together like an incantation, taking famous words and adding your own beautiful twist onto them. I liked :)
ReplyDeletebreathlessly wonderful. like casting a spell. love it.
ReplyDeletereally nice dance to your words, thsi has a great rhythm...incantation is a good word for it...
ReplyDeleteI am confused....Is this all a quote, or are some of the wonderful words yours? Either way, I love it...
ReplyDelete"O what a tangled web we weave
ReplyDeletewhen first we practise to deceive"
Lines from " Marmion" a poem by Sir Walter Scott.
Thank you Joannne, most of the wonderful words are mine :) Chortles smirk and splutter!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the way it came out. It was a different way to read such a lovely poem.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it was edited in "html" or "compose" though I am not sure it would make a difference. Or maybe your "Enter" button stopped working?
Shawn whoever you are I am eternally grateful.
ReplyDeleteIt was the " Enter" in Options.
Thank you
Rall x
The format actually works for me since the pace and rhythm has natural breaks as you read. Great job. =)
ReplyDeleteI think Dandelion girl was right it does come across as an incantation. Not only is your computer possessed but you may have been as well! However don't worry the feel of the words was magical as I read them. Perhaps Lilith appreciated being paraded in front of the world again.
ReplyDeleteLilith is alive and well and there is one living near you old egg!:)
ReplyDeleteLilith comes in many forms. The spirit of Lilith hidden in 'Little Miss Goldilocks' quise would make fools of many. Distinguising between genuine and feigned stupidy or naivety is not always easy.
ReplyDeleteMen, in particular, should take note of this warning.
