but somehow legitimate
Haiku Heights

i see you sweetie
i spy with my little eye
a surreal starfish

my wife has great arms
all the better to strangle
me within marriage

Gala and Dali
go swimming with a Vermeer
for the heck of it

an eccentric man
could quite likely use his wife
as a table top
what a great talent
Dali eccentric and odd
made some strange paintings

time shrinks and expands
according to one's mood state
tick tock Dali clocks

This visit has been quite a treat :-)

Come again!
DeleteAll good fun, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI could say that it puts a whole new slant on 'laying the table' but I wont, of course.
Smirks!

ReplyDeleteIf you say so:)
DeleteWho is more eccentric he or she? very nice and interesting.Loved it.
ReplyDeleteBoth,a couple of nutters;)
ReplyDeleteFine painter; great exhibitionist; complete idiot!
ReplyDeleteGreat set! (speaking of the table, not the haiku which was great too!) My favorite painting (never made) would be a Dali llama...

RS:)
these are amazing great work.
ReplyDeleteDali painted a beautiful picture of his sister looking out a window in 1925. His surrealist work later however was necessary for him to be controversial, noticed and be a platform for his eccentric fame. A master showman. Much like the (Arafat?) cartoon.
ReplyDeleteWhat great funny entertaining poems. Thanks. I'm so glad to stopped by tonight.
ReplyDeleteTerrific images you paired with your haiku. Nicely done!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic Haiku...love how you used a theme in words and images
ReplyDeleteThese were all great! still smiling about the use of his wife's long arms!
