Anyone For Tennis?

Theme Thursday and Poetry Jam

a smooth operator
is the knickerbocker glory
of the male homo sapiens species

one tends to over indulge
resulting in heart burn
and feeling unwell

he is visually tempting
an exotica of sensory sensations
rich  and a bit too sweet

in spite of  Jenny Craig
and Weight Watchers
most women
cannot resist the allure

reoffenders are multiple

a smooth operator
is never insecure

so
if you think this poem
is about you

then you are not
a smooth operator

and certainly not in
the knickerbocker glory class
(scrumptious)

  3. If I said you're a crazy, Brian.I hope you would not think that I am trying to launch an attack ,attempting to demolish you .And if I have to preface all my responses like this there is no point in responding to anyone. So I am just going to respond naturally and suggest that anyone who is offended ( unintentional on my part)simply does not return to wicked Rall's coven:)
Incidentally I do think you're a crazy...highest form of praise from Rall.

  4. The joy of over indulgence, that's the key to the smooth operator. Very nice.

  5. It's all about flattery. Everyone wants to be admired. It is fine for the beautiful people but how us others crave for that little taste of ice-cream in our lives.

  6. Handsome is as handsome does...it seems everyone knows this except for men. Those rare charming clever men who are not necessarily the lookers are sought after and cherished. Everyone has had their fill of bastards.Your welcome.. No charge for Rall's counselling service o:)

  9. Fun. In the middle, I thought it was going to be something like twinkies--but then your narration widened, and, no, I did not see me at all--but I the idea of being an operator (other than in poetry) makes me giggle.

  13. Heart burn is something of which I totally understand since I have had to deal with it for so many years now. And all of my grandsons think they are the smoothest talkers around. Judging by all the girls constantly texting them I wonder how any of them think they are smooth talkers since there seems to be no talking going on. Texting just doesn't seem to be the same as actually talking on the phone. One of the grandsons said his sister is mad at him because she never calls him. I told him she only knows how to text and you have to text her. Silly him. Why does he enjoy all the girls texting him but his sister has to call him. He never calls her. Geez, soon all the smooth talkers will be dead.

Thanks for sharing such a fun poem with us for this weeks Theme Thursday. Hope you have a very smooth talking week.

    God bless.
