Jeffrey Smart

Australian Painter Jeffrey Smart died at 91 today.



An artistic genius who captured the brutality of Australian urban development



and of course he lived in Italy at a safe distance. Vale Jeffrey.

    Thanks for posting about this man's art. It strikes a strong chord with me. I'm feeling brutalized by the urban environment this week. The only thing missing in these are the swarms of demon cars.
