Nice photo used to accompany this poem. The truth of your words manifests itself in the wrinkles around my eyes, the wisps of grey in my hair but, also, through the wisdom I accrue as those grains of sand fall. It is not all bad, growing older. :) thanks for sharing such a good poem.
Time is a peculiar thing...I do not understand all the cosmic physics associated with it but it is fascinating. . I have known you for three years..it seems much longer ( I say that in a nice way:) Incidentally if that is your new car I am so so jealous but am happy for you !
And the clock seems to tick faster and faster the older one gets! :)

ReplyDeleteSadly...
A bitter truth!
Ahhh...so true.
ReplyDeleteEach day seems to go faster than the one before.
Nice poem.
Time can't be bought in the hope of making it last...it can only be lived. Yes.
ReplyDeleteWith me, it's the 'cuckoo' on the hour that seems to unsettle people.
ReplyDeleteCuckoo clocks and red geraniums remind me of Hans my ski instructor. We used to sip schnapps on the chair lift to calm my nerves :)

ReplyDeleteI find hours can last a very long time. It's the years and decades that fly by. Peculiar thing time.

DeleteIt is my new car - well Carol's and mine - and its a little beauty.
DeleteThe French interior grabbed me. And the design is fabulous. A cross between a Mini Cooper and a Ford Sierra. Both desirable cars in my youth.
I feel 20 years younger driving it.
Well Darling as long as you look it...that is what counts these days!:)
DeleteAh but I don't. The trick is not letting it bother you.
DeleteTruth will remain as truth. Nice take on the prompt. :)
