Haiku For Poetry Month April 2014

Day 11

they cannot go further
the waters are rising fast
pets alone at home

as long as you are with me
living at the beach

Day 13

one person's reality
another's nightmare

Day 14

just checking your breasts
this is nothing personal

Day 15

poets are starving
they are forced to eat their words
unacceptable

Day 16

time is running out
you and i are stardust mere
specks in the cosmos

Day 17

and she will speak-old chinese
saying,better listen

come with me on holidays
just for easter break

gives me as much pleasure as
a bunch of roses

the joys of reading

vincent's lovely night blue sky
sparkled with yellow

Day 26

colette thought it essential
cat's words and she writes

Day 27

geese in chevron flight
i've got the urge for going
yes - joni mitchell

Day 28

they waved and they cheered
and in a week they would turn
on you with hatred

Day 29

you died for our sins
the supremely selfless act
for self -centred man

 Day 30

you rose from the dead
if this is true, you are God
and we, mere dust specks

  1. A great collection. I wont tell you which one squeezes my imagination the most though.

    1. We scientists feel the need to collect facts. Tangible facts. Reproducible facts. 'Peer review' doesn't mean just taking a good look, you know.

  3. You put some pretty strict parameters around "home." I guess I'm not at home, because I'm neither with you, nor at the beach!

  5. An incredible collection - wit, warmth, irreverence. You hit this one out of the park. You are a winner on the home field.
