Hey Ho
the wind and the rain
for the rain it raineth
every day
Feste's song
reminds her of you
Hey Ho man
Hey Ho
one day it has to stop
you can hold her
in your gardening gloves
down by the shed and
waltz her between the tall weeds
until then
In between gardening some distractions. Nicely Rallentanda!
ReplyDeleteHank
i am all for dancing in the rain...
ReplyDeleteand the good news is that one day it has to stop
of course maybe that is not good as well..
Some consolation for the gardener, then?
ReplyDeleteThere has to be some perks for gardeners:)
DeleteHa, it can get a bit 'old' for sure when it rains every day. We have gone through some of these times...and it is miserable indeed. Maybe a reverse rain dance would stop the rain?
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of dancing in the rain, as long as the rain is not too cold.
ReplyDeleteWarm hands in gardening gloves would keep out the cold.
Deletei want to do that rain dance now...
ReplyDeleteYour poem is magic ... music you chose lovely, haunting ... I enjoyed both immensely.
ReplyDeletethis works and makes me smile as those showers cause havoc.
ReplyDeleteI love the vision ofthem dancing in the rain down by the gardening shed. Cool.
ReplyDeleteI like the whimsy in this one. Sounds like lots of rain in the garden here.
ReplyDeleteRain every day dampens spirits. We need a balance of sun and rain I think!
ReplyDeleteI, too, like the idea of dancing in the rain with a garden boy fresh from planting the posies and mowing the lawn! Perhaps a madrigal or two playing in the background ...tra la!
ReplyDeleteOh Susan...you are such a poet:)
DeleteOoohhh... This got me thinking of golden year romance... Nice write!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your poem and the video/song as the intro!
ReplyDeleteEarthy and wet, almost like an Elizabethan round! Liked this one very much, Rall.
ReplyDeleteI see the tall weeds are really the hip and happening place to be. Word.
ReplyDeleteGreat verse and so light and breezy. Loved it.
