Servant

dverse

shall i compare thee to a summers day ?
hardly
i am a sucked orange- tossed
only the seeds remain-persephone's seeds

my shining inner light
was never noticed
no, i have never received a gift
i am a servant
my luxury is a dry warm bed
for a few hours
i am too tired to dream

  4. a prompt @ Real Toads speaks of Seraphine Louis, an amazing painter suffering somewhat similar fate of the speaker here though her life was brighter as well as darker...love the beginning and the progression...
