Because It's Not The Weekend

poets united: 3ww

when faced with the choice
watching the tour de france
or
watching
a floating plastic bag wafting in the breeze
to the beatles sound track of a depressingly good
but reality spiked movie
about the misery soaked suburban lie

i chose to write

until i saw the given words
profane quarrelsome liberal

decided

to place them
in the cabinet marked
toxic waste
take a hot bubble bath
sprinkle myself with
talc violet thoughts
and
wait for spring

  3. You could always come and visit the NY mountains . . . . It's a lovely temperature this summer! Perfect for skinny dipping in some mid night river pool. . . .

  4. ha!!!!
I guess some of us really are crazy - I spent my youth drafting off logging trucks on the coastal mountains of California knowing that the chains holding the logs could slip. My pace is a bit more sedate now that I am old (a bit).

  5. I might have done the movie and the writing at the same time.

    1. "American Beauty " is a good movie but not one to watch on a lovely sunny day!
