this is my monster
who wont stay away
i keep him on a short leash
to restrain him
he has his moments
but is never to be trusted
even though he is amiable sometimes
must remind myself
he is still a wild beast
could turn on me
at any time
yet i cannot bring myself
to exile him to the zoo
