For The Weekend

When October Goes....Nancy Wilson

3WW...absorb empty certain
Sunday Scribblings 2
Acrostic haiku with Chevrefeuille MLMM
OctPoWriMo

when october goes
it will be hard
to absorb the fact
the empty hole
you left behind
may never be filled again

yet all things pass
you tell yourself
it's fairly certain
life will go on
even though no -one
knows how
they are going to survive it
at the time

so long october
adieu to laughter and love
dull never looked so good

Really loved these set of lines.. they ring very true. Simple, but very well expressed.

  2. Sometimes dull is good - it can mean nothing bad is happening and yes, we always tend to survive...even when we feel we can't...just like Nemo we find a way ;)

  3. This was a lovely, lovely poem about October. I don't know if it was difficult for you to weave all the words together so skillfully but you did. Maybe it helped that you had the word constraints, but however you did it, it is really good.

  4. We often need the dull to relax, recuperate, and reform our minds into what we are going to do to please ourselves.

  7. Sometimes I do prefer dull over anything else. I'm facing a dull weekend, and I couldn't be more thrilled!
