friday sunset
i watch the
flying fox framed
against the pink sky
heading home for the evening
it's been
a perfect swimming afternoon
gazing up at the palms
a watering can in my hand
sand in my toes
i wish you could enjoy
this perfect moment
with me
i know there will be
many perfect moments for you
as you soar high free in spirit
with your keen hawk eye for beauty
it is not just the oceans that separate us
i also know you wont be coming back
