No Substitute For The Real Thing

they look fake
they don't last - disintegrate
no child ever suckled on
two flesh covered  basket balls
costing  ten grand
forever an expensive folly

terrible toupees don't fool anyone
besides
they pose a threat to wildlife
birds mistake them for nests

be natural
celebrate your baldness
get more kisses

  2. Makes you wonder doesn't it... the need to fake something to appear real good.

  4. Lol, I especially snickered at trump. But mostly I am terrified he might win. Then we can kiss our ass goodbye.

  8. Ha. This is making me smile. I've been trying to write poems about the value of being authentic, not fake or superficial. You did it marvelously here. There's nothing like the real thing.

  10. How true, Rall. Padtic society populated by plastic people, and in many cases this is literal...
But I had to laugh! :-)
