there was always a
presentiment of not evil
but evasiveness about the barkeep
looking almost as old
as methuselah
in need of a blood transfusion
even wearing
christmas antlers
and a santa suit
residual of last night's
boozy party
did not make him look
jolly
customers struggled
to keep a straight face
at his ridiculous get up
one broke the fourth rule
and placed a yellow dahlia
behind his ear as a joke
the plucky young girl
immediately wished
she hadn't
he stormed off into the night
was not found until morning
Oh no Santa...too much to drink again? Alas, poor red suited man lies face down in the snow -- where are his reindeer when a rescue is needed? Thanks for sharing.
